Agnes Kirton and Agnes Avant may or may not be the same person. It seems clear that an Agnes Avant married Pvt. Thomas Kirton, Sr.
Less clear is if an Agnes Avant married William Micajah Williams If he is the same William Williams of the DAR records, his proven wife was named Margaret X.
