As far as I know, there is no documentary evidence that her maiden name was Creekmore? Did I miss something?

The only evidence presented in the profiles is Jabez' will, it names his wife only as Nancy Perkins.

If you read to the end of his profile you'll see an interesting note from who ever created the profile

I wrote that.

Nancy Ann Perkins signed her release of dower to the deed for the sale of their land in Pulaski county KY, before they moved to Bureau county Illinois. The witnesses were of a different surname. Often the witnesses to a release of dower are relatives of the wife. I am trying to track down the witnesses and see if they are related to Nancy Ann.

I will be looking at records in the Virginia counties of Montgomery and Washington, to see if there are any clues there, since they were created at the same time Fincastle county VA [now the state of Kentucky] was created from Botetourt county VA. Which I'll also look at along with the NC counties of Ashe and Wilkes.
