From what I've researched, if your Yochanan Banet is correct, he would have been the uncle of the famous Rabbi Mordecai Banet who was born in Csurgo in 1753 and became chief rabbi of Moravia in Nicholsburg (where he is buried. He died in 1829) Yochanan's sister was Fradel (wife of Abraham Bia, father of the 1753 Mordecai Banet). Fradel and Yochanan's father was your #10. And Abraham Aberl Banet's father would appear to be your number 11.
I don't see R. Mordecai Banet of Nikolsburg in your list.
Best, Dotty Brown (5x great granddaughter of the chief rabbi )
It seems interesting that here is another Mordechai Banet who was rabbi of Nikolsbourg... that is what it says on the profiles occupation.
So I assumed there is a mixup.
But I looked up the tree in Beer Hamoadim from Avraham Benedikt (from where the tree is taken) and this tree is right according to him.
I am trying to find where the known tree (as it used to be on geni), which has a different Avraham Abrel (by number 10) who is a descendant of the Levush, is sourced, any leads?
Avraham Benedikt apparently also changed his mind before he passed away a couple of years ago about how the tree goes, and conceded that it is the one with the Levush, which makes it all thw more important to find out its original source.
