Is there any documentation that he had the middle name Benajmin? I only see him listed as Samuel Jefcoat / Jeffcoat I everywhere but here. If there's nothing to validate the middle name, it was probably a later erroneous addition to his name and should be removed if it can't be validated.

I Do not believe it was his middle name . I’m like you there is No proof of much of Anything but Cenus Records . I think the B and Benjamin Should be removed. Did you ever find proff of his wife ? You can email me at KDJN68@outlook.com. Thanks

All I know about his wife is what is online. This is her Find-a-Grave page:

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/165904254/rachael-jeffcoat

I've seen some trees on Ancesty with her parents as:

Father
John Bollin (1724–1790)
Mother
Mary Zelphir (1723–1767)

which makes sense rather than a Family Search site that has her parents with the surname Cole.

And at some point in the past I found this information:

According to most family Bibles that I have seen, Rachel was a Beaver Creek native (mixed). This has not been proven, however, Elijah, her son, was listed as non-white in 1800 when married to Jerushia Hoover. It has been said that Rachel's father was either a Chavis or a Bolin who married a woman named Zelphir who was a Beaver Creek Siouan Indian of Orangeburg, SC

So I don't know where the Cole surname came from that one site has connected to her.

And that's all I've been able to find about her.

Yes She is listed as Both Samuel and Williams Wife , I to have searched all records and have found No proof for sure on her . I was told she was married to William first then when he died Samuel married her , My Dna is mixed between Both family lines , mostly Williams tho , I’d like to chat more with you My email is KDJN68@outlook.com PS , I you ever looked up the Coats - Coates surname ? Thanks Kim

Ok, thanks for that additional info, Kimberly. I'll email you.
