John T. Hickman, Sr. - John Hickman 1810-1897

Findagrave has it as Thomas C. Hickman and mother Mary Frame Hickman. John T is my 3rd great grandfather.

In 2010, I was contacted by Howard Hickman to submit a sample for Y-DNA testing. Him and Jason Hickman were conducting a Hickman Family tree exercise to determine the origins of each line. Thomas C and Robert Hickman of Knox Cty, Ohio came from Chester Cty, Pa and ours came from William Hickman (1638-1683) of Accomack Cty, Virginia arriving in Oct., 1655 from England.

Also, In the summer of 1980, I spent an afternoon with your great grand mother Odetha Jolley talking about the Hickman genealogy. She spoke at length about her father Daniel and grandfather John. Also told about John’s death in July, 1897 and burial at Little Sandusky.
