Alexander Dundas of Fingask - Wrong wife as mother of his children?

Alexander Dundas was served and retoured as heir to his father at Perth in 1460 although only in the lands of Fingask and not Dundas and from thenceforth designed himself from that estate.

2ndly Helen Arnot daughter and co-heiress of William Arnot of Balbarton in Fife and Matilda Johnstoun . As a result of the marriage, Alexander Dundas obtained the lands of Knightspotty in the barony of Abernethy and shire of Perth (sold 1584), also a tack of the lands of Bannachie near Kirkcaldy Fife.

He fell at Flodden, in 1513, together with four of his sons, and was s. by his eldest son.... Alexander Dindas, of Fingask, who procured from James V. a charter of con- tirniation of the lands of Coates, in the lord- ship of Elcho. He wi. Elizabeth, daugiiter of Sir David Bruce, of Clackmannan, and had issue,

II. Robert.
III. Tlionias, of Findhorn.
I. Margaret, vi. first, to William Kerr, of Ancrani, ancestor of the Marquises of Lothian ; and secondly, to Sir George Douglas, of Mordington.
