Hi, my name (that I've always known) is spelled Scheffrin, but I've always thought it was a mispelling of Schifrin, Shifrin, or some others of that nature. My father grew up in the 30's in Atlantic City, NJ. His father was a tailor and had a shop in Atlantic City. I think his name was either Mickael (Michael) or Robert. I don't know much else sadly. Do you have any info on tailors in NJ around that time with any links that might lead me to my rightful name. My Aunt Gladys once showed me a picture of a Scheffrin Tailor's sign on a shop in a black and white picture, but don't know much more.
