Much more research is needed here. Conflicting sources suggest Alexander, 2nd Earl of Menteith may have been his son rather than that of his elder brother, Alexander who is said to have died sans progeny. This first source I link here was quite well researched and documented, and the conclusions presented before Parliament, although I respect the Red Book as well. It will take a while for me to study this group and seek out corroborating evidence. I just think it's so interesting, and would like to see the Tree reflect most accurately the true facts of this family.
