Zacharias Joseph Lombard (Lombaard) - Lombard vs Lombaard

In several source documents the surname of Zacharias Joseph is shown as "Lambaard". Zacharias Joseph was however almost certainly the son of Johannes Jurgen Anthonie Lombard and Elizabeth de Beer because not only do the dates align but also Elizabeth de Beer's father's names were also Zacharias Joseph.

Does anyone have evidence to the contrary?

I don't have any evidence to the contrary, if fact I don't have an opinion either way, but I do have some general advice:

Add the various spellings to the profile's AKA data field and complete the name fields in a way to align the best with other members of the immediate family.

"Correct spelling" is a very modern concept so tying yourself in knots trying to work out which one is "right" has no great benefit but putting all the variants into the AKA field can facilitate the matching algorithm to find matches which might otherwise go undetected.
