Has there been any progress by anyone finding a defensible link to William Nelson West's parents? I have a clearly defined lineage back to William Nelson West (Michael Brooks West of VA) and would love to work further back than my 5th great grandfather.

Am I correct that we should not be showing Thomas West and Catherine "Katy" West as his parents at this point?

I haven't seen any documentation linking Thomas West and Catherine Rebecca West as William Nelson West's parents as yet.
