What do you think you are supposed to be able to do that you currently can not?

Help her edit her profile and add to her tree. Manage the profile.

Collaboration doesn't give you the ability to edit another users profile. You can allow your family group to edit your profile from here: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy The first checkbox in the bottom section.

Collaboration only gives enhanced access to public profiles.

Since both of you are already connected to the Geni World tree the only thing that may be missing is parts of her tree that are private because they are too far away from you. The way to gain access to that would be to have her add you to her family group. She'll need to visit your profile, click on the actions button in the upper right and chose "Add to family group"
