Calling Terry Jackson (Switzer) - either could be correct? I still go with historical

historic - adj. famous or important in history, or likely to be seen as such in the future - used in describing past events

historical adj. having to do with history, belonging to or set in the past; - study of a subject looking at its development over a period -

I agree with June but looked it up just to be sure:

Historic vs. historical—Which Should I Use? | Grammarly
https://www.grammarly.com/blog/historic-historical
Historic describes something momentous or important in history. Historical simply describes something that belongs to an earlier period of history. Historic and historical are two adjectives that have very similar meanings; so similar that it’s no wonder they are often confused.
