Maybe.
We need reliable sources; let's see what I can find.
This is from 1798, and is compiled from info in many different sources, none of which are cited directly:

This particular Colin Mackenzie died in the parish of Killearnan, Ross and Cromarty, in 1704.
He did not go to Maryland.
As to the Maryland business:
Colin's son John, who is attested to in the MacKenzie genealogy, is the only child of Colin's listed on Geni to have anything to do with Maryland. Maryland is not present in the MacKenzie genealogy (anywhere, under any name; I looked). John, in that genealogy, is "of whom there is no trace," leading me to believe that giving John the son of Colin any information at all is Highly Suspect.
However!
Was there a John McKenzie, in Maryland, who died in 1733 in St. Mary's County?
Yes, yes, there was.
His Wikitree entry says not only that his parentage is unknown, but that DNA evidence shows that he is not the son of Colin and Isabel.
So he needs to be detached from them.
