Jemima Atkinson's birth year appears to be 1798, death date is May 12, 1882. She was born in Baltimore and had 3 children: William C. Atkinson, Samuel Atkinson and Fanny Bates (Atkinson). She passed away at the home of her son-in-law, James Bates. Read more in the May 15, 1882 Baltimore Sun article (if it is possible to upload it - otherwise I am attaching the link to the newspaper clipping). In the article there is also the info that she had at least six grandsons, namely John Bates, James Bates, Joshua A. Bates, Wilbur F. Bates, Wm. W. Atkinson and Samuel D. Atkinson.
