Alvere de Marisco - Page Numbers

I agree that page numbers and more specific references would be ideal. In this case, searching the text for "Marisco" yields 36 references, including ones mentioning her husband (Herve I) and his family, with extensive histories based on primary sources.

Leofric is mentioned briefly twice, with no mention of Alvere as his daughter. (In this text she is Agnes/Alveva, possibly "Agnes Malet sister of William Constable of Normandy.")

Page 34 (see footnote), with further reference to Appendix III. On pages 49 and 50 of Appendix III (xlix and l), under the heading, Bouchard's and Herve's lands, Herve's wife Alveva's lands are described.

All of which is slightly complicated by the misspelling of her Geni profile name ("Alvere") making text searches for her a bit more difficult. A good reason for including page numbers in citations of sources. (Accurate direct quotes can also be very helpful.)

His grandson of the same name (Herve de Monmorency) is correctly married to Agnes d'Eu, not the same woman.

Additionally (speaking of spelling variations) I find it somewhat compelling that in another text concerning English land rights where Alveva is listed on page 88 there is a separate listing on page 84 for a "free-woman" named ELDEVA, who "holds in Henret one hide of the King in Frankalmoigne, which she held T. R. E. and could go whether she would."

In conclusion, a little investigation confirms "Alveva" as Herve's wife. However, I do not find any proof that she was the daughter of the Earl of Mercia, or any "Leofric".

(2 ) Herve's wife, very possibly, might have been Agnes Malet, sister to William, Constable of Normandy; of whose lands in England, Hervé obtained grants of various manors.

This appears to be the William mentioned in the text, but he has no siblings here.
