Myrtle Deaton was called Myrtle Roaletta Deaton in her youth; Myrtle Roaletta Allen after marriage, and when she moved from Arcadia, Iowa to Vail, Iowa, around 1932, was known as Roaletta Myrtle Allen.
Glen Melvin Allen was born in October of 1898 in Dunlap, Iowa. Glenn married Myrtle Roaletta Deaton on June 18, 1923, in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Myrtle was born in Dayton, Iowa, on October 27, 1904, to John Richard and Anna Summers Deaton. They had five children, two of whom are still living.
