DON'T merge away the Conflicting Data - there are clues in it that at some point there was a Bad Merge.
Death location "Ballymoney, Wicklow, Ireland", "April 20, 1740"
Married to Agnes Burton AND Ruth Elizabeth Goodwill (Ruth is apparently Irish all the way)
Children "John Revell II" and "GRACE Revell" born in Wicklow, Ireland
Another child, "Elizabeth Revell" born circa 1710, too late to be the Elizabeth who married Stephen Horsey.
The Miles Files have no Ruth Goodwill, no John II, and no Grace.
Miles Files record for John Revell (no evidence that he was ever a tanner): http://espl-genealogy.org/MilesFiles/site/p628.htm#i62774
Think I found the original screw-up: https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=73306036210
As happens way too often, somebody noticed that *some* of the surrounding names appeared to match and plunged ahead with a merge *without* considering that these two profiles *weren't even in the same country*.
They also didn't consider that the wives didn't match and some of the children didn't match, and the death dates and places didn't match AT ALL.
I was able to separate John Revell, tanner, of Wicklow, Ireland from John Revell of the Eastern Shore
Thank you for calling attention.
