Hi,

Kerri Gunn, manager of many profiles, died in 2010. https://www.mck.org.au/search/50364
I would like to take over the management of her many profiles.

Thank you,

Deborah Shaw Shindell

You do not include a link to her Profile, Is this who you mean: Kerri Gunn

Correct procedure for a deceased Geni User
Go to their profile.
Click Actions
Click Report snd choose Deceased
In the box provided give info on death and/or links to obits, etc.
You can also request, in that box, to take over management, but no idea if they pay any attention to that

Her profile says reported. Here's hoping it was from someone just recently reporting her as deceased.

@Kerri Gunn
I've tried to comply, but doing Actions/Report results in "This profile has already been reported".

What to do next?

Here's her grave: https://www.mck.org.au/search/50364 that includes a link to her headstone with a mini family tree of her parents, husband and children.

She was co-manager n some profiles with her brother-in-law Barry David Gunn, but the profiles where she was the only manager, I would like to take over those profiles.

Deborah Shaw Shindell -

I gave you the general procedure to follow when a Profile is a geni user who has died.

Then I said "Her profile says reported. Here's hoping it was from someone just recently reporting her as deceased" Apparently you did not understand what that meant.

Regular users cannot provide you with what you want
Pro users cannot provide you with what you want
Curators cannot provide you with what you want

I do not know if they will be willing to do what you want, but
Customer Service can provide you with what you want
But this is not the way to reach them
you have a Pro Membership
So you can Open a Ticket
Click "Help" way down below and Open a Ticket
Providing the information here is useless
Provide it there

PS - to tag a Profile in a Public Discussion, copying the Profile's URL and pasting it in the Discussion always works - using the at-sign often does not.
If you use the at-sign and the drop down box appears with the right name, and you choose the name from it - then it has worked. If you type the space after the first name, then the drop down box will not appear - so if you are a fast typist it will never work.

Hi Lois,
Thank you for your explanation.
I just put in a ticket.

Geni support is very confusing. Thank you for helping to explain procedures.

Whatever Kerri was Reported for, it was apparently not "Deceased", because those are usually dealt with very quickly, and she appears still as a Geni user.
So ticket definitely the right way to go.
