I have been asked if I know anything more about Aurel de Batonyi who was formerly married to Frances Ellen Work.. Frances was an American heiress who (through another marriage) became a great-grandmother of Diana, Princess of Wales.

I can trace Aurel from his Jewish birth registration as KOHN, Aurelius (born Baja 30-Aug-1865) to the USA (by which time he had assumed the status of a count) his marriage to Frances and subsequent divorce, even his return to Europe to work for the White and Red Cross, but after 1918 he just disappears.
Can anyone contribute any information about where he was AFTER 1918?
