I cannot find any evidence that Joseph and Elizabeth ever lived anywhere but in Hempstead, NY. That is where his Will is probated in 1745 and that is where Elizabeth Smith's will is made in February of 1749. Where is the information that Joseph died in Shenandoah, VA? Or that this family was ever in Shenandoah, VA?
