Charlotte, as I knew her, aka Charlie was a member of the Girl Scouts of America. She became on of their leaders.
She carved the way for women to go camping alone without a man present. She attended many Jamborees in the US and in Foreign countries, representing the US organization. In 2013 the US Mint struck a proof silver dollar to honor the Girl Scouts, so my brother Page and I presented her with a 2013 Girl Scouts Centennial PROOF Silver Dollar US Mint Coin with Box and COA (via US Mail). It is rare and highly sought after. Only around 124,000 were produced.

My brother, Page and I only saw Charlotte occasionally when we spent the summers in Morgantown, WV. I always think of her as a musician who played stringed instruments and sang. At the time, she lived in Charleston, WV. She was always very positive and happy.
