One of his hands had a large amount of scar tissue on his knuckles. He hand was caught in a machine as a child. He lived and worked for a family that did laundry. He got his hand caught in a steam press. To repair his hand the doctors put his hand into his stomach (abdomen area) to heal new skin onto his wounded hand. It was extremely painful. He never repaired the scar because he didn’t want to go through the pain again.
