It seems very quiet here, but I'm asking anyway: would anyone have any interest in creating a group of Aberdeen University graduates?
Admittedly I only have one from 1861, and I wouldn't have the time to add lots of people from records that are publicly available: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/special-collections/rolls-of-graduates-212.php
In our case it seems someone was a smart boy and was 'promoted' from his local school at Rathven to the school at Keith, which apparently had a reputation for good teaching and preparing ordinary boys for university. He boarded with a local family. He then won a bursary to Aberdeen and after graduating was a teacher for only a couple of years before becoming a rector.
I've just realised that I misremembered the date. He graduated in 1857, not 1861, from the then Kings College.
There is a search function, the magnifying glass at the top left of the digitised volumes. There is additional information in some cases, showing employment at venerable institutions and journeys abroad.
But yes, it will be something of a minority interest. It was over a century before we had another graduate, now we are 50+% graduates!
