I was researching Sir John Savage of Clifton - my 18th great grand father and I thought that was kool. I got an Autosomal match with Ernest Urmston (his close family Autosomal relative), and I thought I would keep going. Robert de Savage, Knight, my 20th great grand father has an UNKNOWN Mother on his profile. I started clicking around on other Autosomal match descendants profiles comparing the Inlaw path with the blood paths because Geni is flipping back and forth from my Mom's side to my Dad's side. Which happens a lot when you match with me. More like sibling rivalry... my sister married a Knight so I'm gonna marry a tribe chief son. (just paraphrasing but you get my point).

GORE/Dowden was common surname in the relationship path of both trees. Although I see Gore often, this is the first time I recall seeing Dowden. Golly Gee. Dowden is my 6th great grandmother. There are no active links to match on her Close Family Autosomal Matches List but I am a great granddauthter on the Franklin side of my tree. (Mom's side)

Can anyone confirm Elizabeth Gore Dowden with an Autosomal match of a close relative DNA? I really would like to know for sure that my connection is confirmed and she's not adopted or something. Or confirm that my DNA connection with Nancy Gore Franklin will also cover for Elizabeth.
