Emulus Edwin Post - Spelling of his first name

Census records depend on the census taker, at a minimum, hearing and recording the name "properly". On his grave, his name is spelled "Emulus", while many sources spell it "Emulous", and earlier land records in St. Lawrence County, New York spell the name as "Emilius". All sources seem to agree on the spelling of "Edwin", though a few have this as his first name.
