Dear All!
I found that my ancestor from the Backman/Bekman family worked as a lukkari in the churches of Tyrö and Kaprio in the first half of the 18th century. Unfortunately, I could not find his traced before the Revision of 1740ies. Does anyone know, is it possible to find some information about church servants (though not pastors) in Ingria in the 1st half of the 18th century and earlier in the 17th century?
I learned from the documents (end of 18th century), that Backman/Bekman family worked in several Ingrian churches generation by generation (lukkaris as well as others), most probably, starting from the Swedish times. In the 18-19th centuries they worked, at least, in Tyrö, Kaprio, and Kupanitsa.
Thank you very much in advance for any information about Ingrian lukkaris in the 17-18th centuries (especially Backmans).

I do not know, unfortunately. Backman is a very common surname, which complicates the search. I look for Juhan Backman (or his family), who is the farther of Alexey/Olof (born app. 1711, lukkari in Tyrö and Kaprio), Irik/Erik (b. app. 1691), Andreas (b. ?, lukkari in Tyrö). Alexey/Olof and Irik/Erik moved from Tyrö to newly established village of Penikkala/Peniki between 1763 and 1782.

There was Beckmann in Serepetta and Kaprio parish. Has also been in Narva.
