I have been refreshing Richard's record with a few more citations when I noticed that in one citation (Richard Worthing Muster) uploaded to his record, his native place is given as Stamford, Lincolnshire
I think this brings his colloquially recorded birth in Tonbridge, Kent into question!
I have checked the baptismal records for Tonbridge...........nothing, but also a similar result for Stamford.
Given Richard's occupation is shown as 'servant', this is consistent with the practice of the day of bringing young persons to London et al to serve as servants.

Can anyone shed light on this matter?
