Bio: Son of Isaac Mayfield, Sr. and Jean "Jane" (Baxter) Mayfield. Isaac was married twice. His first wife, and mother of all of his children, was Mary Ann "Mollie" Banks. After she died, Isaac married the widow of a cousin (John Mayfield), Mary "Polly" (Woolf) Mayfield, abt 28 July 1830, in Pulaski Co., KY. Polly remained in KY when Isaac moved to IN.

Note: Although his headstone indicates he was "Sen'r", he was "Jr." first, and his son Isaac was III.

I think the FAG memorial has the wrong names for these brothers that it calls William Isaac--- I think they have the wrong one noted William III and the other should be Isaac. I am speaking off the top of my head from memory right now but have a pretty lengthy thread and have been working on them for several days with a bit of a break in between. Each time I found someone that married a Germanna colony person or descendant, I was able to fill in more of the blanks.
