The parents of Martin were Unknown Anderson and Rachel Wilkerson. She was married to George Newton Crosnoe until Apr 1841 when they divorced. George then married Anna Brashears. They too had a son in 1842 which is why everyone thinks Martin is his child. Rachel Wilkerson had Martin out of wedlock as well as Thomas Jefferson Crosnoe. She did not marry again until Lewis Bond in 1861. Martin was listed on the 1850 census as Martin Anderson age 8 yr along with his mother Rachel Crossnow and baby brother Thomas age 6 mo.
My brother did a YDNA test and we are NOT of the Crosnoe blood but in fact match a Wm. Anderson b, 1827 in Abyshire Scotland, however he went to Australia so the search is on to find his male line that came to America and ended up in Sumner Co, TN or possibly Wilson Co, TN the county the Crosnoes were from. The Wilkersons were also from TN. Possible Anderson subject could be Stinson H. Anderson Lt. Gov of the State of IL but I have found no DNA connection to him yet only because I am not proficient in DNA research but still looking. you can contact me at jray2330@gmail.com Janean Ray
