Private User - Why nobody asks help from Geni? Mike has many times merged duplicate projects for me (in result will be all collaborators and all added profiles for both)
Thank you for informing me.
Maybe you should take into account that Curators are volunteers.
I am a volunteer - I spend enourmous amount of time helping usrs on Geni, up to 10 hours daily, just because I am not keen to spend my time fixing s project that has nothing to do with me.
I am not obliged to respond to everything.

Private User - Yes, Mike Stangel or Customer Service is correct way to ask (as you are PRO).
How it can be done?:
"Any way that GENI system can warn of possible similar projects when one starts a project"
If Project name at least in one language has 80% the same text than already existing then maybe to issue warning is good idea ...
I hope that there will be functionality to merge projects for Curators.
Hi everyone,
Yes I can merge the projects however https://www.geni.com/projects/I-M253-Y-DNA/34605 is a system-managed DNA project; its list of profiles are all profiles on Geni with that haplogroup. There are profiles tagged to https://www.geni.com/projects/I1-M253-Y-DNA/3750 that I would not be able to tag to the official DNA project... is that okay?
Mike
Okay, I've merged the projects. https://www.geni.com/projects/I1-M253-Y-DNA/3750 should probably be deleted to avoid further confusion.
I went ahead and deleted it. I saved the list of profiles that were tagged to it (in case anyone needs those) here: https://www.geni.com/task_list/6000000179642462821
