When I click on EI-Lysnings och vigselböcker and then select H0002 - 1802 - 1818 it does not come up with a link Bild to see the marriage book

And there is martiage year 1817 written. Now to marriage register year 1817 and page by page...

1802 – 1818Vigselbok, se C:2.
Det år 1809 avträdda området upptaget fr.o.m. 1810 under rubrik "ryska
andelen".

It says that you must look C2 register. This time vigsels are in other book wit something else too...

That is amazing. I went to the deaths book for 1884 to 1909 and just clicked a few random pages and clicked +5 once or twice to see the format of the records and suddenly I was looking at Eva Mettavainio's death record! 16 Oct 1885. Incredible luck.

Thank you for that. Are you able to interpret their exact names please?

Also are you able to explain how you found them on this page and what is that page? Is it a census type record?. https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0035202_00075#?c=&m=&am...

I cannot see their names there.

Övertorneå kyrkoarkiv, Husförhörslängder., SE/HLA/1010252/A I a/3 (1819-1830

I know name Järkisjärvi och Raumonjemi.

I go to övertorneå
Husforhörslängder
Jänkisjärvi
And then read page by page

Isak Pehrsson Raumonjemi
Eva Ersdotter Mäkipiha

It takes time to learn how to use riksarkivet and learn to read old handwriting. It took over year to mee

Sorry if I sound dumb but I do not understand fully what the various records are.

Is that a household census at a point in time or a historical record of people who used to be in that family?

It starts out strange. It seems to say:
Peter Isakson born 1711 married Eva Andersdotter (dob 1771) in 1794. So he was 83 and she was 23????

Then there are two people who have no obvious relationship to the first two.

Then there is Isak born 17 July 1794 who married Magdalena Erics?datter (dob 1793) in 1917.

So is that Eva Mettavainio's parents?

Then a few lines down I can see Eva born 5/3/1822. So that is my Eva?

But who are all the other people?

Sorry Magdalena Ersdotter Mäkipiha

There is farm Mäkipiha in Jänkisjärvi...

In up you can see Farm name .

In that page is all peoples that lived in that farm! Can be 4 generations plus sometimes pigor and drengar too. If they are not in other pages as Inhusingar or something like that. Yes isak and magdalena

I meant 1817 for marriage of Isak and Magdalena.

So the two people at the top of the page are the paternal grandparents of Eva? (Pehr 60 years older than Eva Andersdotter???)

No pehr born 1771 and eva 1771 marriage 1794. Tyen there is isaks father and mother born 1743 and 1766. ..

So when referring to those people should the farm name be included in their name, the way it is shown in the register?

For example the birth of Eva Mettavainio shows his name ending with Raumonjemi. When I add him to my family tree do I add Raumonjemi? So his name would be Isak Pehrsson Raumonjemi or should I just call him Isak Pehrsson?

And what do I call Eva? She calls herself Eva Mettavainio even though her birth record seems to say she was born at Jänkisjärvi? Or is Mettavainio a farm at Jänkisjärvi?

Sorry pehrs father and mother...

Would there be a similar farm record like that for a farm called Mettavainio showing all the people who lived there?

If you are speaking of Geni, it is very hard to say what name to use. In Finland there was not lastnames long back. In geni there is name but is known name too so can write manynimes. But you have to ask someone else. Mayby Ann-Katrin Hansson can help?

No you were correct first time. They would be Isaks father and mother, not Pehrs.

Yes yere is Mettävainio. It is nybyggt no 12. So it is new small farm, so not many peoples there

https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0035204_00174#?c=&m=&am...

Oh... I mean there is also pehrs father and mother too...

What is the first word on line 3 and 4 before the names please? Line 3 looks like Jadrenh. Line 4 looks like Modron. Is that their job?

Fadren , Modren? Means pehrs father and mother

Wow, now I am more confused. There is Eva born 1822 in the Mettavainio farm but she is also in the Raumonjemi farm. And her mother is called Magdalena in Rau.. farm but Malin in Metta... farm and in Eva's birth record.

So presumably they moved from Rau.. to Metta...

No no, look more. In Raumonjemi there is written that they mooved to page 57!!

But the Mett.. farm is folio 157

So what farm is on page 57?

Sorry, I just realised I could jump back to page 57. The Jan... farm

I mean the Toyra farm

No! Farm name is Metsävainio. Look more.
Nybygt no 12 Metsävainio before Isaks Name

I will be going to bed shortly. Thank you very much for all your help. I will document the names and dates and places that you have found for me tomorrow, then I will do some more searching - with your help if you have the time please. I can see that I am going to be busy. But I have achieved much more than I ever thought I would.

Then I have another challenge. On the other side (my father's mother), her grandmother I believe was Sami from Finland. So trying to find anything about her will be difficult.
