Sir William Allen - Edmund Allen

Edmund Allen, son of Lord Mayor, Sir William Allen, isn't the same Edmund as Edmund, Haberdasher of Ipswich. All of Sir William's children were baptized in London Churches, so it's easy to know which children he had. But Haberdasher Edmund left a will with different brothers listed, and they were not children of Sir William. It's far more likely that Edmund stayed in London to work in trade, like his father.
