Ben Angel

I dont know if Ben is a CURATOR but I assume he is. I had a really large file I added since I am new. I have 500,000 people in my tree but I think I had to make it smaller to start this. Anyway, its still a large tree. Ben is showing up a lot on my merge options but he doesnt seem to be responding to requests. Can someone else take over for him since he is gone? I would like to clear out my merge section, inconsistencies etc. but there always seem to be a few people that don't respond, I dont see an option to hide these people that don't merge. So do they just sit there forever on your list as long as people don't respond? I hope you understand what I am trying to say. I have 200 people left that I need to check for merges. Lots of of my matches have way too many parents so I was removing the bad parents and leaving the good parent. I have been working on my tree for 45 years and it appears to be pretty accurate. Not claiming perfection but I have worked on these people so long and my technique of verifying my tree makes its easier for me to figure out which parents are good and which are not. And what if you think someone has died in the family and left a tree on here and there is no one there to approve matches. I know one of my uncles died and his tree is on here. I was able to work around him because his tree was so small but I also have one of my husband's cousin's on here that I think may have died , does someone take over their trees?
