1) Jacob Siegel currently shows Birth circa 1882 - he is the most recent of 11 generations all currently having the name "Placeholder Siegel/Segal/Spiegel"
the 11th back is Placeholder 10th GGF Siegel/Segal/Spiegel
the 10th is Placeholder 9th GGF Siegel/Segal/Spiegel
The 8th thru the 11th were each created with that name on September 20, 2021
The 7th was originally added as 6GGF Y-R-PF7563 on Aug. 14, 2021. - added as. 5GGF Y-R-PF7563's father
The 6th was originally added as 5GGF Y-R-PF7563 also on Aug. 14, 2021 - added as 4GGF Y-R-PF7563's father
The 5th was originally added as 4GGF Y-R-PF7563 alsi on Aug. 14, 202q -- was added as 3GGF Y-R-PF7563's father
For all three of 5th, 6th, and 7th their name was changed to "Placeholder Siegel/Segal/Spiegel" on September 20, 2021
The 4th was originally added on Dec 2, 2019 as Zalmon Siegel. -- added as Shaya Dovid Siegel's father
The 3rd was originally also added on Dec 2, 2019 as Shaya Dovid Siegel - added as Abraham Jacob Siegel's father
The 2nd was originally also added on Dec 2, 2019 as Abraham Jacob Siegel - added as Jacob "Bentzion Yaakov" Siegel's father
So - 2nd, 3rd, 4th all added Dec 2, 2019 with apparently real, known names
The 1st was added to the tree on Jan 7, 2010 as Jacob Siegel
Since my first post, the names of the 2nd thru the 11th have all been changed -
the 2nd to "Placeholder GGF Siegel/Segal/Spiegel"
the 3rd to "Placeholder Second GGF Siegel/Segal/Spiegel"
and so on thru the 11th as "Placeholder 10th GGF Siegel/Segal/Spiegel"
This at least provides each with a different name, but
Is it appropriate to create multiple generations of ancestors with a generic name such as ""Placeholder Siegel/Segal/Spiegel" or Nth Great Grandfather <LastName> or any such?
Mitcell posted while I was writing my post above.
Private User - please answer the question above and also
the first, Jacob Siegel - why is it "Placeholder Siegel/Segal/Spiegel" ?
He has 4 sources, all with his name as "Jacob Siegel"
Why have you decided that should not be used as his name?
Also, you originally added the 2nd thru 4th all with apparently real, known names - why have you decided none of those names should be used?
Have you found documentation showing they were the wrong people?
Mitchell, trying to fill in the bits you are not saying.
1) Are you in agreement this Herbert Siegel is your father: Herbert Siegel
2) I see Herbert has Y-DNA results of R-PF7563 - propagated from a Y-111 test done by one of his sons - which I take it is your brother, since I see him named in Herbert's Y-DNA details as "Private User" and see no indication of linked DNA on your Profile.
Is that correct or ??
3) Are you saying that Jacob Siegel was neither the man who raised Herbert as his father nor his biological father?
1. Yes.
2. I took my Big DNA700 kit.
3. Herbert was last boy baby in 1925. Mary Siegel (Bloom) had her four daughters. I believe Jacob Siegel who raised my father Herbert Siegel. (Step father)
See Jacob Siegel's gravestone. My first cousins are lie about grandchildren.

Re: https://www.geni.com/discussions/238609?msg=1508756
I see a Gravestone of Jacob, who died in 1947, at which time he was a husband and father
And a Gravestone of Mary who died in 1973, by which time she not only had at least one child but also at least one grandchild and at least one great grandchild
The positioning of the two Gravestones suggests Jacob and Mary were husband and wife.
Trying, with great difficulty, to follow you.
You said - "Rose Siegel was born in 1906. My father was born in 1925."
That Rose would be Rose Nachman - yes?
So also the Rose whom you are referring to when you said - "My half niece is related to Rose Nachman (Siegel) , Ann Nachman, Jess lacher and my father."
And the Ann Nachman listed there is Rose's daughter, Ann Lacher - yes?
And Jess Larcher is Jess Lacher - and that Ann's son - yes?
Are those all identified correctly?
And do all of them have DNA results at ANCESTRY?
https://www.legalgenealogist.com/2017/10/01/dna-doesnt-lie/. (Aunt - niece). I believe my grandmother was Rose Nachman (Siegel). I believe Rose had an affair with my grandfather.
Your half niece is a grandchild of your father, Herbert = Herbert Siegel - yes?
Trying to guess - "I have 23andme with my half-niece, MyHeritage and AncestryDNA,"
Does that mean that you and your half-niece both have results at all 3 of 23andMe, MyHeritage, and Ancestry?
