Cecily Farrar - TRENT LINEAGE connection via her???

I am an indirect descendent of the original Alex. Trent Sr. of Henrico/Chesterfield Co,. VA (b.ca.1726-28), who came from the William(#1) Trent (Sr.) & Ursula (Branch) Trent of same.... part of my problem is that I have a William Trent (b.ca.1765) in VA, and he can be found in the new frontier county of Bedford, VA in the late 1700's..... BUT so far, no paper trail has been found for his parentage... and DNA Testing in the Trent Family DNA Project (since 2004) at FamilyTreeDNA has not, either, given me a connection to the earlier VA Trents.....
