Hello,
Per a user's request, I have reverted an incorrect merge that confused two different John L. McCrackens. Please review the profiles for John Lytle McCracken, Sr. and John L (?) McCracken to make sure everything is in its correct place. If anything is still incorrect, please post here to tell me what specifically to change.
Two things to consider for the future:
- If you add your sources to your profiles, it makes it a lot harder to mis-merge and it makes it a lot easier to untangle if that that does happen.
- When you find a profile that's been merged in error, it's usually best to ask a curator to fix it, not try to repair it yourself. The sooner you ask, the easier it is for us to make the needed changes.
