Greetings,

I work for Geni and we were recently contacted by a close family member who's NOT on Geni, with the following correction for your consideration:

Rose Zolosinsky, Solomon (Sid) Jalker, Sarah Jolka (Jalko), and Samuel Jolka, are not at all related to my Zalkin family. A few years back I did some checking in google, and it appeared they were from England, and that Rose was married to a Morris Zalkin, but that was not the same Morris Zalkin who was my [close relative].

If this seems correct and you'd like help undoing the merge and separating these two families, just reply here and I'll be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Mike at Geni

Hi Mike,

Thanks very much for your message. I agree with what the other person said. The Morris Zalkin in my family with the family members listed there does not seem to be consistent with the attached family and should indeed be in England. I would very much appreciate it if you could help with undoing the merge and separating the families.

Best wishes
James

I’d also note that my Morris may not have spelled the name Zalkin even. It certainly went through a number of permutation including Jalker and Jolka. We believe it was originally spelled with a Z making the J sound but don’t know for sure.

Best wishes
James

Thanks James, I'll undo the merge and separate the families according to the explanation posted above.

James Michael Krieger, PhD I've undone the merge and your Morris is now back at Morris (Moses) Jolka / Jalker / Zalkin

He still has Charles and Tamara listed as parents but based on the information given, I think maybe that's incorrect? Do you want me to remove them?

Yes, please remove them. Thanks very much for your help with this

Done. Thanks for your help as well!

You’re welcome. Thanks for your help too!
