I'm using SmartCopy to copy profiles from MyHeritage to Geni.

If MyHeritage profile has names which are not in English (Russian in my case), they are copied to Geni as 'English' names. I need to manually update Geni profile and copy the names under 'Russian' language.

Then I tried to copy relatives of that profiles from MyHeritage to Geni, but SmarCopy did not allow this. It showed only the current name without possibility to copy relatives probably because destination default names (in English) do not match source names (in Russian).

Anybody knows how to overcome this?

Аналогичную проблему встречал при загрузке файлов GETCOM. Русские ФИО загружаются на вкладку английского языка

Leonid Neustadt SmartCopy has the ability to select what language to import the fields into. If you expand the person, the select option is between Action and Title. Use that to choose Russian.

The problem is in inability of SmartCopy to copy relatives of person which has names in MyHeritage and Geni in different languages.

Please look at https://www.geni.com/images/missing_image.png
It shows that SmartCopy does not allow to copy children/siblings/etc. for that profile.

Sorry , I don’t know how to help you.

Not sure why that wouldn't work. SmartCopy shouldn't care about the language when viewing names. It is important that you're viewing it on the English Website, but the names can be in whatever language. Must be a bug with something on that profile and ones like it. If it's public, send me a link.

Maybe recent Myheritage changes broke SmartCopy, but currently I do not see profile picture and relatives when I open SmartCopy applet on MyHeritage profile and select the corresponding Geni profile. Only the person's fields are available, no relatives and photo. this is not related to language and this worked several days ago.

Does it work for you?
