Seen as daughter of Alexander Cupboard

Do we have a citation for this father / and / or maiden name? We have death records but no marriage or birth to go on.

Thanks for any advice.

To my knowledge, her date and place of birth and her parents are all unverified. Cupboard is one of the theories but not proven.

Did you want to leave it as is? I’m tracking Charles Weatherford Who could not have been the father of William "Red Eagle" Weatherford, Muscoke Creek

Right now he seems to have an older half brother with the same name, who was also a Red Headed Scots Indian Trader Married to Sehoy lll.

William "Red Eagle" Weatherford, Muscoke Creek

So wanted to nail down Martin Weatherford Family a bit better.

I'll have to explore that article more tomorrow. I know that there were multiple Isabella Weatherfords in The Bahamas at the time and that they get confused when using wills, so I want to make sure we're not doing that. I'll contact a Bahamian Weatherford specialist I know.

Isabella Weatherford (Archer) born 5-2-1806 died 5-31-1882 and William Martin Weatherford born 1-4-1802 died 11-17-1864 buried in Key West

Born in Bahamas - buried Key West

Listed on 1850 and 1860 census in Key West
Also burial pictures

No idea on Cupboard name ??

Research Notes

Please be careful not to confuse 2 similarly named couples who lived in different centuries ...

  • - (1729-1805) Martin Weatherford-112 & (1750-1807) Isabella Unknown-210118
  • - (1802-1864) William Martin Weatherford-136 & (1806-1882) Isabella Archer-1117

Yes many different people with same names- can be confusing
My notes do not have anything on other set of people. Would be easier if they didn’t use same names

do not use wikitree - prefer books - census/records

The Scottish Trader information dates back to Alexander MacGillivray abt 1599

More information that I ran across was William Red Eagle Weatherford had at Least 5 wives. From what I have found in my exploring of his history Mary Stiggins was not Recognized by the Elders. There was also documentation where Charles B B Weatherford made a trip to Tennessee to discuss the Estate of William Red Eagle with the elders and he was declined his claim to the estate, This is also about the time that Charles wife Patience Nunnalee passed away and their Children Lewis and Susan were placed in the care of their Grandfather Daniel Nunnalee in Virginia

I forgot to mention the date it was in 1850.

I forgot to mention the date it was in 1850.

First, I uploaded a will notice for Martin Weatherford and updated some fields and the "About" a tiny bit.

Second, Ann Morley says that Isabella's birth surname and parents are unknown, which is all the argument I need to cut the relationship and remove "Cupboard." I would also question the birth place and date, since there are no records for any of that. It looks like that info came from the Dolly Mae CD, which is a nice tool for finding Bahamian hints but in no way a citable source. So I'd remove that as well, assuming we have no objections from Erica.
