I've pulled as much census data as I can find on Isaac and his war service as a Sharp Shooter in the 2nd Reserves. The issue is that of his wives. Find a Grave notes that he had two wives: Caroline Sweatt Hatcher and Naomi Cooper Hatcher. I cannot find real sources on Caroline. The birth dates of the children attributed to Caroline do not make sense with those attributed to Naomi as some are interspersed. Also asking the question about where was Isaac born. Census records indicate South Carolina.
Here is what Find a Grave has:
Sarah Frances Chavis 1846–1917 - attributed to Naomi
James Tillman Hatcher 1847–1913 - attributed to Caroline
Peter W. Hatcher 1852–1929 - attributed to Naomi
Elmira Hatcher Peele 1854–1931 - attributed to neither, but implied Caroline as Naomi is not linked as mother. Need clarification.
Maranda Ann Hatcher Rogers 1855–1884 - attributed to Naomi
William Kelly Hatcher 1858–1924 - attributed to Naomi
George Washington Hatcher 1863–1928 - attributed to Naomi
Elizabeth Belle Hatcher Brigman 1865–1951 - attributed to Naomi
Vianna Hatcher Rogers 1868–1953 - attributed to Naomi
I cannot find an 1850 census for Isaac. There may be one, but I could not find it. Any help on this would be appreciated. There is a tree match, but it shows Caroline as mother for Elmira instead of Naomi that is on her current profile and it may be correct, but no sources are attached.
