Research Notes
In the past, researchers have assumed that Anna and Anne were identical.[2] A very well-written article by James R. Hancock, using primary documents, has solved the question of Anna and Anne Lee.[1] He shows they are two different women, half-sisters.

So fixing this affects:
Hancock Lee of Ditchley & his wives Mary Lee & Sarah Lee
And the two husbands married to different Anna Lees, William Armistead, III & William Eustace
I’m still having issues about

Cannot find an Elizabeth Armistead. Even though Encyclopedia of Virginia has her.
https://encyclopediavirginia.org/entries/burwell-lewis-d-1743/ for Hon. Lewis Burwell
And certainly no Martha Armistead as in https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burwell_family_of_Virginia
It would have been helpful had either source bothered to list all the Burwell sons and daughters, instead of just assuming that everybody knew them.
Miles Files no help here either, except to show no Martha or Elizabeth among the children of William Armistead and Anna Lee.
Miles Files shows another Armistead-Burwell marriage, but in the *other* direction: Mary's brother John married one Elizabeth Burwell (parents not specified).

I notice that your posting is from 2008, so my information might no longer be relavent for you. I am a decendent of John Moring and Ann Burwell through their son Burwell. Researching the Burwell family is not easy as so many had names that were consistently repeated throughout the years and many remarriend within the family. I think that the mother of Ann Burwell might be Martha Armistead , not Elizabeth Armistead.. Lewis Burwell was married to both women ,who were sisters. He married Martha around 1715 and Elizabeth much later, likely around 1744. Therefore, if Ann was born in the early 1720's, Elizabeth is unlikely to be her mother.

And Geni has a competing Elizabeth Hatchell daughter of Anthony Armistead lll.
I didn’t find Lewis Burwell in the Armistead book.

There’s a lot wrong with the Armistead tree on Geni, actually.
This is the source I’ll follow.
