Yes, agree Judith Mosby is not making sense as daughter of Joseph Parsons of Henrico

But I don’t have a good solution, because she’s sourced as half sister to Agnes Jane Wynne

Good reference but this looks like a later Parsons family. Who are you related to?

But we know that Agnes (Stith) Wynn was actually the posthumous child of Joseph Parsons, and he died in 1659 or so. John Stith adopted her after he married Jane.

Our problem is that Parsons is a common name, so we want to make sure Judith is from the same Joseph Parsons.

Forget birth dates in this era, there are few records. I should erase them all to not confuse you with bad estimates. :).

Judith Parsons is a minor in 1664. First in care of Edward Mosby (step mother’s father). Then in care of John Stith (step mother’s new husband). Nothing further is known after 1666. Maybe married Daniel Llewelyn.

Edd Mosby’s only son was Richard Mosby (1626–1706), who came over from England with his father. Richard Mosby returned to England, but later came back to Virginia when colonist Richard Ballard paid for his passage to return.

In 1659 Richard married Judith Parsons (1629–____), a Scotswoman, and in 1660 their only known son, Edward Mosby (1660–1742), was born in Henrico County.

Edward Mosby was the first of six generations of my Mosby forefathers who were born and lived in Virginia.

Looks like Margaret Wade doesn’t belong either. The curator note for Richard Mosby says:

Richard James Mosby, was the son of Edward Mosby and wife Hannah. He was born in England c.1626 and died in Henrico County, Virginia in 1683. He married Judith Parsons. One known child, son Edward.
