I am descended thru Charles D Buchter who was the son of George Franklin Buchter who was teh son of John Buchter who was the son of Martin & Lydia Buchter. (this Martin died as a POW in Andersonville Prison about 1864). Martin was the son of Martin & Elizabeth (Baer) Buchter. Martin was the son of Matthias & Elizabeth.
