Who was Louis le Grand that owned a farm in Drakenstein circa 1710 next to Pieter van der Bijl on the berg River ?

Gidéon Legrand, a surgeon from Compiègne in Picardy, who lived and worked in Stellenbosch and Drakenstein, died in 1710 leaving his estate to his brother, Abraham in Haarlem in the Netherlands.

Was dus 'n laatkommer Hugenoot.

@Phillip, Page 102 of the same book about the Huguenots.is a page from Gideon le Grands journal. It is in Frensch so I am not able to read it. It is dated 1710. According to the text he was a chirurgyn and not a farmer. The text confirm his religious belief.
The farm Picardi is today in the centre of Paarl and Pieter van der Bijls was Babilonstooren in Simondium which still has the same name and is worth a visit in September each year when 10000 clivias are blooming. Accoding to the book, Paarlvallei 1687-1987 the farm was granted to Van der Bijl in 1692 and made official in 1698 p 17 and18.

Pierre Grange (La Grange, Le Grange) was a cousin of Louis Courbonne.
He came from Cabriéres-d'Aigues (Provence) in 1688 with the ship China and lived in Cape Town. He was married to Margaretha Kool from Amsterdam and had one son and one daughter.
Huguenot book p161.

@ I typed Louis le Grand in on Geni and landed in the end at Louis XVI of France. It seems as if all his children was le Grands.
I got Pierre la Grange as the SV/Prog He had a son Johannes.
I found another a Louis Francois la Grange who was the son of Johannes Petrus and Anna b6c6. He was farming near Tulbach. I am sending the information to you separately.
