There are are three sets of parents attached to this profile. I erroneously merged the three spouses of Elizabeth Aikman, all named James Thom(p)son, without realizing that they had different parentage (but they all had the same birth/death details for James himself). Given that Thomson is one of the most common surnames in Scotland, and Thomsons abound in Lanarkshire, especially around Lesmahagow, it is quite possible that some cousins have been conflated.
