Living the dream.... Just living the dream...

Forgive me for being facetious...

Let me see if I can come up with a significantly better explanation by way of a source...

I trusted some information that I probably should have investigated a little better before I posted here...

It is the match with a My Heritage tree that gives his death place as "Indiantown, Florida"...

The census records that I was able to find indicate that he died in Dorchester, Maryland...

It is later descendants of the same name that make their way down to Georgia/Florida...

Thank you for your response. It's interesting because FL was still under Spanish control in 1790 and there was nothing going on down there but Seminole conflicts.

I am from the Benjamin, Grady, - Clinton,- Soloman Jr, - Soloman Sr, - Joseph, - T.Noah, - Vinson B. Tanner line. I grew up in Milledgeville which is about 12 miles from the old Tanner place on Buffalo creek.

Another question I have is: why did Joseph move to Jefferson county FL before the Civil War? His son Soloman Sr. stayed in GA and went to War.

Thank you,

Patrick Tanner
