It appears that someone tried to merge two entries for her and some of the children are listed twice and some as Godwin and others as Goodwin. It will take someone with more expertise than me to untangle this.

Here’s another bad merge indication. Will probably need to rebuild tree.

pp.126-127 Thomas Goodwyn, of Surry County, gentleman, died in the parish ofSouthwark in 1730 or 1731. By Mary, his wife, he left at least fivechildren, perhaps others whose names are lost to us through theobliteration by time of portions of his recorded will. His knownissue were:

  • I. John Goodwyn . . . of Surry County . . .
  • . II. Francis Goodwyn of Prince George County
  • III. Penelope Goodwyn, m. ______ Taylor.
  • IV. Amy Goodwyn, m. John Scott, Jr. of Prince George, in 1720.
  • V. William Goodwyn . . . .

Luckily it’s the same bad merge.

Here we go.

Thomas Goodwyn, of Surry County, Gent. Married to Mary Goodwyn
