SURNAME spelled Copher/Coffer/Cofer down the generations, does not matter, its all the same Family BUT Zollicofer is NOT of this line....

and:
NOTE# This Thomas Coffer is NOT the same person as Thomas Withers Coffer, Trees on Ancestry, have the two mixed up

I started the Discussion as a result of a message in the inbox to all the profile managers which states:

This profile is so confused. You have some info from Thomas of Culpeper mixed with Thomas of Fairfax. You have some of my Culpeper Thomas' children here I don't know why you cannot straighten this out. Thomas of Culpeper and Thomas of Fairfax and Thomas of Isle of Wight all have wills and family info on line .

I think posting the wills and tagging the people in them will help.

Once again there is confusion with Thomas Cofer of Culpeper, who lived 1715-1791. Thomas Withers lived 1713 to around 1782. Once again I state, all 3 thomas' have online wills with pertinent info.

This merge by The Geni Team was undone in August but is a pretty good snapshot of who the two Thomas are-- I am not sure who the third one is but am asking for a curator to perhaps MP these guys?
