Joonson (Johnson), Arnold was born on 03.07.1904 in Audru, county Pärnu, Estonia and died on 18.01.1989 in Heidelberg, Germany.
He studied at the Pärnu Gymnasium and in the 1924-1929 in the University of Tartu faculty of law. He was a member of the corp. Vironia, he was a instructor and a officer of the Defense League, 1938-1939 the representative of the Defense League in Poland.
He worked as a journalist in newspapers "Kaja", "Võitlus", "Päevaleht" and "Eesti Sõna".
He was mobilized into German Army in WW II and since 1944 he was in Germany. He was a head of the British Occupation Region of the Estonian Central Committee Documentation Bureau, head of the Lübek refugee camp (this is electable position).
Since 1952 he was a chief editor of the newspaper "Võitleja", member of the Representative Council of the Estonian Society in Germany, deputy chairman of the Central Committee and the chairman of the Permanent Court of Honor of the Estonian Society in Germany.
