Stratton Hicky says about this profile: John Robertson, Jr.

There is an obvious inconsistency with the profile for John Robertson, Jr. Most notably, with him being born in 1720 and passing in 1841 at the age of 21, yet reflecting he had four children with several being born many years after his passing. I suspect he only had a son, John Robertson, III, who then had the other children you have listed for John Robertson, Jr. At least then the dates of birth and death for Sarah (born 1764 and my G-G-G Grandmother), and Rebecca (born 1755) would make sense.

Also 2 wives by the time you're 21 is quite an accomplishment: Silvy and Elizabeth Robertson

We should also consider that the death date could be the error

Alex Moes I see you manage here too. (Are you on a job in the middle of the ocean right now?)

In this merge https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=77577785680 his dates are more likely:

  • Birth Date1720 Birth Date1719
  • Death Date1741 Death Date1774

It would solve the problem to use the dates from the merged in profile crated by Charles Charles Arthur Byrd, Jr.

Stratton Hicky if you let me know that you're happy with that, we can change it to death date 1774

Middle of the ocean is such a vague term... certainly i'm all adrift, at sea so to speak and several weeks away from a PC.

Judging from the dates you mentioned i imagine these are old profiles added by J? If i created them then probably using census records.

Yes, you're right - Justin's profiles. The main one was is also a gedcom upload. I'm not seeing records. I'll let the other profile managers take a look and chime in. (I have no idea why I'm managing a US profile I know nothing about, to be honest.)

Happy 'sailing'. :-)

Yes. The 1774 death date would seem to resolve the disconnect. Thanks!
